Fairfield Police Traffic Stop Leads to Firearms Arrests

Four taken into custody late Saturday afternoon.

Fairfield Police Press Release:

On October 27, 2012 at about 5:45 p.m., Officer Grimm made a traffic stop on a car on North Texas Street at Hawthorn Drive. Upon contacting the occupants an investigative search was conducted. A passenger was removed from the vehicle and found to have a loaded semi-automatic handgun concealed in his waistband.

Officer Grimm’s counterparts from the Fairfield Police Department’s Special Operations Team arrived to assist and removed the other occupants from the vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed three more loaded semi-automatic handguns concealed where each of the others were sitting. A check of the weapons determined one of the handguns was reported stolen from a burglary in Dixon, CA.
