Selena and Laura,
Laura, you are very kind in supporting and helping Selena work through such a horrible time in her life, and I sincerely hope you are both rewarded in the future. I'm doing my best to help her in a different way.
Selena, your Dad was murdered on my street. You have my deepest sympathies. I want you to know who was responsible, see that person is given a fair trial, and if convicted, be sent to prison. You deserve that, your father deserves that, and the people of Suisun City deserve that.
I'm not sure who placed it there, but there is a small memorial for your Dad, near where he was killed, at the corner of Cackling Dr and Banacle Way. I tell you all this because it prompted me to start a blog.
FYI, this is my first blog, so it may not be very effective in reaching our goals of solving this case and helping you reach some closure. I've also posted a picture of the memorial here on Patch.
My last email update from the Suisun Chief of Police, Ed Dadisho, was received May 16, 2012. Here is his reply:
You left the below comment on our web site last week. Thank you for visiting the web site and making public comments. We are still waiting for the State Department of Justice (DOJ) to complete their analysis of the evidence. The District Attorney will not file the case until the analysis is completed. We are in contact with DOJ once a week to get an update on their analysis, but they keep telling us they are backlogged. Once we get this information, we will promptly file the case with the District Attorney. I don’t want to make any arrests and then the DA releases the individual(s) the next day.
I do not doubt that the Suisun Police Department wants this case solved, and I do not doubt they are doing their best to solve it. My goal is to continually remind them that someone lost a father and the person responsible for that loss should be in jail forever, but is currently running free, while Selena continues to be tormented by a great deal of pain.
