Armed Robbery Suspects Arrested

Two in custody

At about 10:03 p.m.,Thursday, Fairfield Police Dispatch received a call of two subjects brandishing a gun in the 600 block of E Tabor Avenue.

“The uninvolved citizen provided a description and direction of travel for the subjects,” stated Fairfield police officials. “Special operations team officers and patrol officers quickly arrived in the area and located the two subjects walking away from the intersection on Dover Avenue.”

Officer Brunie attempted to contact the two, but only one complied. The other suspect, fled on foot and discarded a handgun. He was subsequently arrested by Officer Glashoff as he continued to flee into a nearby neighborhood.

“As the investigation unfolded, two victims were located and it was determined a robbery had taken place,” Police officials stated. “The two teenagers explained that the suspects inquired about purchasing marijuana from them. When the teenagers agreed and produced the marijuana, the two subjects robbed them at gunpoint of the marijuana and money. They said the two subjects then left on foot out of the area.” 

Both victims positively identified the suspects detained by police and the firearm recovered.

Ali Searvance, 22, and Davion Shipley, 23, both of Suisun City. were arrested for armed robbery, weapon offenses, conspiracy, and probation violation.
