Fairfield Senior Center Providing International Travel Opportunities

Meeting to take place at senior center next Wednesday.

Press Release: The Community Resources Department for the City of Fairfield is seeking all adult travelers to attend the monthly travel presentation at the Fairfield Senior Center on Wednesday, September 26, beginning at 10 a.m. in the Christiansen Room, located at 1200 Civic Center Drive.

Collette Vacations will highlight all of their trips planned for this year and beyond. Come hear about the itineraries for Panama, China’s Yangtze River Cruise, Southern Italy with Sicily, Washington DC, Heart of the South, Cruising the Best of Scandinavia, South Africa, and Portugal and its Islands.

Adults are encouraged to sign up months in advance, especially for the most popular destinations. All reservations are first come, first served basis.

According to psychologist Dr. Stephanie Smith of Erie, Colorado, “Traveling is good for our mental health.  It gives us a break from our day to day routines, it exposes us to different ideas and cultures, and it allows us to build memories with our family and friends.”  Senior group travel provides just the break we all need. It gives you the freedom to see the world without any logistical worries.

For more information on senior group travel experiences, as well as the Fairfield Senior Center, contact Senior Services Coordinator Jane Kibbey at 707-429-6291 or email jkibbey@fairfield.ca.gov.
