A list of things to do in Suisun during the weekend
Thursday already and still no plans? Have no fear, Suisun City Patch is here with a few suggestions of interesting and fun ways to spend your weekend.
Where/When: The Lawler House Gallery in downtown Suisun. Every weekend from Feb. 4 through May 1. 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. A special reception for the show will be on Mar. 5 from noon to 4 p.m.

Why Go: It’s your opportunity to check out egg paintings and carvings and different art works that emphasize text and textures. Plus, it’s free!
Pricing: Free admission

Where/When: Feb. 4 at the Joseph Nelson Community Center from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Why Go: A hands-on workshop where you can create personalized scrapbooks and cards. You can sew or knit with other crafters. Just make sure to bring your own supplies.
Pricing: Registration fee is due the Thursday before the crop night. Each class is $8, but if you pre-register for 5 classes you will receive $2 off each class.
MEET AND GREET WITH LOCAL CRITTERS
Where/When: Suisun Wildlife Center. Open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
Why Go: A fun, educational experience family where you and your family can get up close and learn about some of Suisun’s residential wildlife.
Pricing: Free admission
Where/When: Western Railway Museum. Saturdays and Sundays,10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Why Go: Take a ride on a historic streetcar or an interurban electric train, eat lunch on shaded picnic grounds and view over 50 historic cars and railway exhibits.
Pricing: Adults $10, Seniors, over 65 $9, Children (2-14) $7
Where/When: Main Street Bar and Grill in downtown Suisun. Fridays and Saturdays, 9 p.m. to 2 a.m.
Why Go: A local, weekend hot spot to drink and get your boogie on! Why travel the distance when you can party in your own town?
