VIDEO: The Dancing Man At Highway 12 And Sunset Avenue
He's a local celebrity, but few people know his name
His high kicks and splits make drivers honk in support of Dennis Statewright, the dancing sign man at Highway 12 and Sunset Avenue. Catch him around noon advertising for the Cheesesteak shop in the Heritage Shopping Center. He's an SCC film major with ambitions to save up enough money to transfer to school in San Francisco.
As for his dancing, Statewright says he's always been the artistic kind.
"I really feel like I was born with it," he said.
