Weather For The Week: Spring Rains In The Forecast

Don't turn on those sprinklers just yet, wet weather may be headed our way

I'll be honest, I'm craving what this year would be considered a heat wave right about now: sunshine and temperatures in the 80-degree range. I mean, this is California, right? Looks like I'll have to wait for the likelihood of spring rains to stop, and they might come on Monday night, Tuesday and Wednesday. Here's the scoop from the National Weather Service:

Today: Mostly sunny with a high near 71 degrees. A Breezy day for a BBQ, with a west southwest wind between 13 and 23 mph and gusts as high as 30 mph. You'll need rocks to hold down the picnicware.

Tonight: A 20 percent chance of showers after 11pm, with a west southwest wind 21 to 24 mph decreasing to between 7 and 10 mph. Winds could gust as high as 31 mph. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Tuesday: A 30 percent chance of showers, otherwise partly sunny with a high near 67 degrees.

Wednesday: A 40 percent chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 11am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 64.

Thursday: Partly sunny with a high near 69 degrees.

Friday: Partly sunny with a high near 73 degrees.

Saturday: Mostly sunny with a high near 73 degrees.

Sunday: Mostly sunny with a high near 74 degrees.
