What is happening at the Suisun Waterfront this weekend?
The answer is lots! The Second Annual Old World Christmas Market, a festival of sorts mirroring the Christmas markets of Europe, will be returning this weekend to spread holiday cheer. The focal points of the event are nine European-style wooden stalls ensemble with holiday and traditional themes. There is an expected 35 vendors who will have "unique holiday and hostess gifts, decorations and tasty treats" available, according to the Suisun City Historic Waterfront Business Improvement District website.
The Old World Christmas Market will be open 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday and 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.

The Suisun Waterfront will also be holding a Lighted Boat Parade and Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony on Saturday. Upon the completion of the parade and tree lighting, there will be fireworks. Pictures with Santa will also accompany the event. The Lighted Boat Parade is scheduled to begin at 5:15 p.m.
If you want to be a little bit more active this weekend, try skating. Friday, Saturday and Sunday, there will be a ice-style skating rink from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. respectively.

Throughout the day on Saturday there will be musical and dance performances from Solano College Teen Touring Co., Studio 309, Concord Salvation Army Brass Band, Missouri Street Theater and Crystal Middle School. The third annual Christmas Tree auction will also be held, where participants will be able to bid on over 30 Christmas trees.
