Fairfield Clerks Cited for Allegedly Selling Alcohol to Minors

Undercover decoys attempted to buy alcohol at 33 Fairfield businesses Friday.

FAIRFIELD (BCN) - Clerks at three Fairfield businesses were cited Friday after they allegedly sold alcohol to minors during an underage decoy operation, police
said Sunday.

The clerks at the Shell gas station at 3001 North Texas St., Quick Shop at 134 Pittman Road and La Charrita at 1470 West Texas St. were cited and the information will be forwarded to the state Alcohol Beverage Control board, according to police.

Decoys were used at a total of 33 local businesses on Friday in the operation.
