Good Day Cafe: Something To Try In Vallejo

Suisun City Patch's out of town restaurant pick of the week

Good Day Cafe is a popular Vallejo cafe with an award-winning reputation. Voted Best Breakfast and Best Lunch 2010 and 2009 by the Vallejo Times Herald, Good Day Cafe's prize-winning menu includes hearty three-egg omelettes, hefty skillets, meat and egg platters, french toast combos and more.

Good Day Cafe's lunch menu is a combination of hot and cold sandwiches, hamburgers, and fresh salads. Pair any meal with a side dish of sweet potato fries, chili cheese fries, a slice of ham, hot links, linguica, or even a 1/2 pound all beef hamburger patty and turn your one-time dine-in meal into a take home, late afternoon snack.

Good Day Cafe lives by the motto "Come early and come hungry," and for 13 years that's exactly what Good Day Cafe loyal customers have been doing.

Good Day Cafe is located at 314 Georgia St. in Downtown Vallejo. Open seven days a week from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Affordable meal prices.

I visited during the 2011 Nor Cal Pirate Festival, which happened to be my birthday. The staff was great and the building with (I think) its 1930s Art Deco style is worth mentioning as part of the restaurant's charm.
