Gas prices in California have dropped for the fifth week in a row, but the range in prices may be as much as 30 cents in Suisun City.
The highest pricing, $3.89 a gallon for regular, was found at the Shell Station where Highway 12 meets Sunset Avenue. The least expensive option for the same grade was found to be the Bonfare on Petersen and Walters Road at $3.59 a gallon.
Prices are still considerably higher than last year, especially since this is usually a time of year where demand for fuel is low . According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration, Californians are paying an average of $3.815 a gallon for regular gasoline, 72 cents more than last year. Nationally the average for regular is $3.417.
