Mother's Day Artisan Fair Sunday

More than 60 talented artists and artisans will be on hand to display their quality hand-crafted wares. The fair will be held on Mother's Day, May 13, from 10 am to 3 pm. Booths will be set up at Main Street and Solano Street in Harbor Plaza Park and along the beautiful Suisun City Waterfront.

There is a huge range of unique handcrafted items! To name a few........pottery, ceramics, fused glass, wine barrel furniture, woven, crocheted, knitted, quilted and fabric items, lapidary, art and art prints, seasonal plants and herbs grown in Solano county, custom stepping stones, photography, soaps and body products, soy candles, hair accessories, children and baby items, metal sculpture and metal garden art, jewelry, woodcraft, gourd art, Hawaiian ribbon leis, flavored nuts, pepper jellies, gourmet dips and BBQ sauces, pet wear, pet beds and accessories, greeting cards, wood and porcelain boxes, eco designs, jewelry, jellyfish art, and to really spoil mom try a relaxing chair massage!

The Mother's Day Fair will also feature sweet treats for you and mom!  Many made right in Suisun at the Shared Spoon (Dip't by Robin, Just a Simple Cupcake, KC's Cakes and Shared Spoon!)

Stroll along the Main Street path for a plethora of wonderful delights. Enjoy a snack and bring home a box of specialty home made treats to complete Mother's Day! Here is some of what will be offered.....

• Chocolate "Dip't by Robin" strawberries, pretzels, oreos, cake pops, cheesecake bites.
• Gourmet cupcakes by "Just a Simple Cupcake"
• Gourmet funnel cakes by "Cava".                                           
• Almond Joy Cake, Chocolate Chip and Snickerdoodle Cookies, 7 layer bars, and Lemon bars...and more from "KC's Cakes and Shared Spoon".  Also morning    pastries such as Apple Raspberry Muffins, Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins, Maple Bacon Scones, Orange Cranberry Scones. 
• Everyone's favorite festival food........Kettlecorn from" Pacific Kettlecorn".   

·         .........and delicious Caramel Apples from Dollface Co.!

Enjoy singer songwriter Amber Snider and her Amber Snider Band. They will delight Mom with their unique brand of folk-rock, country and blues. Amber has recently released two new CD's, was featured on KRON-TV's Best of the Bay. In true Mother's Day fashion Amber will be joined on stage by her mom and step dad, the talented duo the Pine Dogz! You and Mom are going to enjoy the show!  

Be sure to treat mom to a special brunch or lunch at one of the fine Waterfront District restaurants.....The setting is awesome and there are twelve independent restaurants to choose from......something to please any mom! 

Two nearby events are planned to coincide with the Mother's Day Artisan Fair: Visitors can stop by the Lawler House Gallery for their Trunk Show or to enjoy their current exhibit "Into the Light". Sunday is also the Grand Opening for Choco Latte at 700 Main. Suisun is a Happening Place!

Info on these events, on activities to enjoy in Suisun and on Suisun restaurants and businesses will be at the Information Booth located behind the stage area. Also Waterfront Cafe will be selling Eco Delight Coffee, water and soda at the Info Booth.

The BID also sponsors the 8th annual "Art, Wine and Chocolate" on Oct. 6th. It will feature about 90 handcrafted artists and artisans, wine tasting with Suisun Valley and Solano County wineries, amazing chocolate items, gourmet "food court", LIVE music, Jumpy House and Zippypets rides for kids......please put it on your calendar for a great day!
