What's the Most Youth-Friendly Business in Fairfield?

By the Fairfield Police Department

The first Fairfield business to receive the "Youth-Friendly Business" award will be Dr. Robert W. Anderson, DDS. He'll be honored at the June 3 Youth Commission Meeting. Dr. Anderson provides local youth with necessary services.

In order to honor other local businesses for this award, the Youth Commission is seeking nominations and will continue to accept applications for Youth Friendly Businesses.

Fairfield residents can nominate any Fairfield business they believe are extraordinarily friendly and supportive of our youth. The Commission is looking for businesses which support youth through employment, internships, mentorships, and other programs or activities.

To nominate a business, you must be a Fairfield resident or patronize a Fairfield business.  You may not nominate your own business or workplace, a relative, or yourself.  A youth-run committee will select the winners based on the substance of the nomination.

Every other month a Youth Commission subcommittee will select one business to honor and receive a plaque to be awarded by Mayor Harry Price.  These winners will be announced at the Youth Commission meetings and all substantiated nominations will receive a special window sign to display.

Applications will be available during all Youth Commission meetings which meet on the first of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, or can be requested through the Youth Commission Facebook page
