Air Force Aid Society offered no-interest loans to Airmen during threat of government shutdown.

UPDATE: Politicians struck a deal last night to keep the federal government running until April 15.

As the deadline for a federal compromise runs out, the Air Force Aid Society is offering airmen short-term, no-interest loans to cover expenses during a federal government shutdown.


DOD officials have said that military personnel must report to work in the event of a government shutdown, but that non-excepted civilian employees will be placed on no-paid furlough.
