Free Hearing Screenings For Seniors

Hearing loss is one of the most common conditions affecting older adults.

Information from City of Farifield:

According to the National Institute on Deafness and other Communication Disorders (NIDCD), hearing loss is one of the most common conditions affecting older adults. In fact, one in three people older than 60 and half of those older than 85 suffer from hearing loss. Hearing problems can make it hard to understand and follow a doctor’s advice, to respond to warnings, and to hear doorbells and alarms. They can also make it hard to enjoy talking with friends and family. All of this can be frustrating, embarrassing, and even dangerous.

The Community Resources Department for the City of Fairfield announces that Ellen Anderson Hearing will perform free hearing screenings on Wednesday, June 20, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Fairfield Senior Center. To make an appointment, seniors may call the front desk. Appointments are available every half hour on a first come, first served basis.
