Lynch Canyon To Celebrate 25th Anniversary

Solano Land Trust invites public to celebrate the reopening of Lynch Canyon

After being closed for six months, Lynch Canyon will reopen for the season and will celebrate its 25th Anniversary with two special events on Saturday, Feb. 12.

Both events will be held at Lynch Canyon and everyone is invited to participate, said Associate Director of Solano Land Trust Deanna Mott. From 9 a.m. to noon, volunteers alongside members of the Solano Land Trust, Solano County Parks and Bay Area Ridge Trail Council will celebrate 25th Anniversary Volunteer Day, and take participants on a tour of Bobcat Trail while taking a tree inventory. From 10 a.m to 1 p.m., raptor experts Larry Broderick and Jim Walsh will lead the public on a tour to see eagles, hawks, falcons and other birds of prey, according to a Solano Land Trust press release. Water, snacks, work gloves and binoculars are suggested, Mott said.

Those who are interested in participating can RSVP for volunteer day by calling (707) 432-0150, ext. 200 or emailing volunteer@solanolandtrust.org. There will be $5 parking fee and dogs will not be allowed.
