Snow At Sea Level In Solano This Weekend? A Slight Chance
Snow level is currently predicted this weekend at 1,000 feet, but it could go lower
The National Weather Service is predicting a cold air mass from Alaska could push the snow level to 1,000 feet this weekend— or lower, much lower, as in on the ground.
“Right now we’ve got (the snow level) down to 1,000 feet,” said NWS meteorologist Johnnie Powell. “(Snow on the ground) is, it’s a possibility. We don’t have it in the forecast yet, but there’s a slight chance.”
Powell said the air coming from Alaska is going to be the coldest so far this season, and it could snow with ground temperatures as high as 37 degrees, which is where nighttime temperatures will be this weekend.

Low temperatures will be in the mid-30s, possibly down to 32 degrees Sunday night, with the upper 40s for the high temperatures.
“Sunday night will be the coldest, warming up by Tuesday,” Powell said.
