Someone Bought a Lottery Ticket in Suisun City Worth $173K: Was it You?

Somewhere out there, $173,830 is sitting in someone's pocket, glovebox or on a kitchen table.

The California Lottery said a winning Mega Millions ticket was sold two months ago in Suisun City, but it hasn't been redeemed.

The ticket, for a Sept. 28 drawing, was sold at a Chevron station at 4490 Central Way. It matched every number except the "Mega number," according to a press release.

Lottery winners have 180 days to claim their prize–in this case, the lucky person has until the end of March to come forward.

Two Months Later and MEGA Millions® Ticket Sold in Suisun City Worth $173,000 Still Unclaimed

SACRAMENTO – It’s been two months since someone bought a MEGA Millionsticket in Suisun City worth $173,830, but still, no one has come forward to claim the prize. The ticket was for the Lottery draw held on September 28th.

The retailer who sold the winning ticket is Super Serv Chevron, which is located at 4490 Central Way in Suisun City (Solano County). The ticket successfully matched the numbers 6, 8, 14, 43 and 56, missing only the Mega number of 28.

The California Lottery reminds winners to sign the back of their ticket, keep tickets in a safe place and contact Lottery officials or visit their local Lottery District Office as soon as possible. Winners have 180 days from the date of the draw to claim prizes.

MEGA Millions is a multistate game, played in California and 43 other jurisdictions (41 states plus the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands). Players pick five numbers from 1 to 56 plus a Mega number from 1 to 46. Draw times are Tuesdays and Fridays at 8:00 p.m. PST.
