Free Informational Session/ Informal Meet and Greet For Upcoming Fall Program

Are you over the age of 18 with a valid CA driver’s license, car insurance, and regular access to a car? Come join Rising Sun Energy Center for a free informational session/ informal meet and greet for the upcoming fall program to be held in Fairfield!

California Youth Energy Services (CYES) is a program of Rising Sun Energy Center, a non-profit organization established in 1994. We provide FREE energy conservation services to communities throughout the Bay Area. The program is designed to provide high school and college students (18-22) with hands-on job training and a paid employment experience in the growing green industry.

At the informational session we will be discussing the necessary qualifications to succeed in the position which include, but are not limited to:
- Ages 18-22 with a car
- MUST have a Fairfield address
- Outgoing, friendly personality
- Basic knowledge/ interest in energy efficiency
- Interest in community development
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Ability to multitask and manage time responsibly
- Interest in serving the community and preserving the environment
- Familiarity with basic tools (hammer, screwdriver, etc.) is a plus, but not  required
- Spanish speaking is a plus, but not required

We will also be discussing job details, such as:
- Regular work schedule
- Starting pay/ mileage reimbursement
- Special requirements for drivers
- Dates of operation
