Summer Leaves Kids Hungry

With hot days, vacations and different schedules, donations to the Food Bank tend to slow down just as more neighbors need us most. We prepare as best we can for these lean summer months, but the demand keeps growing. We really need your help to feed the people who depend on the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano and our partner agencies. 

We need your support to help neighbors like Lori.  

Lori, mother of two, says her kids' faces light up on days she picks up food from the Food Bank; they are so excited to get the healthy yogurts, fruits and veggies she is able to bring home. 

Now, thanks to a generous match from Community Safety Foundation, funded by CSAA Insurance Group, your donation will be doubled! That means, for every dollar you donate, the Food Bank can provide twice as much fresh produce to your neighbors in need.  

Your donation will be put to work immediately to provide produce for families during the summer through programs like Farm 2 Kids and the Community Produce Program. With your support, we can provide more than 3 million pounds of produce to programs that help families this summer.
