Grandma's Sugar Cream Cheese Christmas Cookies
These small sugary cookies are an addictive family favorite for the holidays.
These cookies don't necessarily need a walnut center, you can substitute chocolate chips or pistachios for different flavor.

Powdered sugar for dusting board when rolling out dough
-----
Cream together butter, sugar and cream cheese. Add flour and mix into a soft dough. Divide dough into three balls and flatten in disks. Refrigerate dough for one to two hours. This is a soft dough.
Dust rolling surface with powdered sugar. Dust dough with powdered sugar as needed to prevent sticking. Roll dough into a 1/8th thick rectangle. Cut into 1 ½ triangles. Place one nut at the wide part of the triangle and roll – it will look like a small croissant with a nut. Do the same for all three dough balls.
Place on a light colored or parchment covered cookie sheet.
Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes. Cookies should be a little brown on the edges.
Transfer to wire rack.
Makes about 4 doz.
Note: Tightly covered, layered between wax paper, these freeze very well for up to 2 months.
