Pane e Vino

An evening out with my son at Pane eVino

This evening I was blessed with a few quality hours with my 12-year-old son, Zacharie. As project manager of the new Kroc Center which is now buzzing with construction activity, guardian to a teenager who recently joined our family, father to a very active 7-year-old girl and with grandpa just a short drive away, opportunities for quality time with my son are pretty rare.  Tonight however, with mom returning our teen to camp where she is working for the summer, my little girl out with a friend, Zack and I took time to have dinner out!

I am keen to support local businesses so when we were trying to decide where to go for dinner the choice was clear…we would treat ourselves to a meal at Pane e Vino in downtown Suisun City.  Locally owned and operated, Pane e Vino offers a select menu of exceptional pasta and pizza dishes.  Partial to pesto dishes, Zack and I both enjoyed a healthy serving of the most incredible freshly made pesto sauce.  Zack enjoyed Tortellini while I savored every mouthful of my favorite Gnocchi.

While I’m far from a food critic and would never attempt to imitate one, I couldn’t miss the opportunity to encourage Patch readers to visit my friends at Pane eVino for great meal with friends or someone special in your life.  If you’re interested in supporting local business and enjoy wonderful Italian food, a meal at Pane e Vino is exactly what you need!  Give it a try and let me know what you think.
