Giants or A’s: Who Will Advance to the Next Round?

Both Bay Area Major League Baseball teams are advancing to the final Game 5 in the series.

After falling behind 2-0, both teams could hear their fans’ collective sighs of disappointment. But after clutch performances from the Oakland A’s and the San Francisco Giants, both teams have found themselves tied 2-2, poised to advance to the next series if they win their respective Game 5’s.

The Giants decisively won Wednesday night 8-3 against the Cincinnati Reds largely to eight extra-base hits and Tim Lincecum’s strong pitching performance, according to MLB.com.

The Giants would become the first National League team to come back from behind 2-0 if they win on Thursday, with the game starting at 10 a.m.

The Oakland A’s rallied in the bottom of the ninth for a 4-3 victory against the Detroit Tigers after a walk-off win. The A’s will step up to the plate on Thursday at 6:30 p.m.

Both teams have proved that being down 0-2 isn’t the end of any series and that fairytale comebacks are possible.

Let us know in the comments: what do you predict will happen in Thursday's games?

Both teams are capable of advancing. Momentum is with them. Cain is tough in in tough situations. For he Giants: When Angel Pagan gets of base, things happen. He hit a leadoff homer yesterday, that set the tone. Coco Crisp got on yesterday, and he got the game winning hit. (Had the Tigers right fielder not misplayed the ball, there would have been a play at the plate. He came up ready to launch one before he had the ball.) I'm mainly a Giants' fan, but the A's have always played a more exciting brand of baseball. That comes from 'Billy Ball' back in the 80's. Pronostication: Both will win today/tonight and advance.!
