Solano County Selected to Host Historic Cancer Research Study

If you could create a world with less cancer, would you? Residents of our community have an unprecedented opportunity to participate in cancer research this fall. The American Cancer Society is looking to Solano County residents to help finish the fight against cancer by enrolling 400 participants in Cancer Prevention Study-3 (CPS-3). CPS-3 is a grassroots effort where people across the country can support cancer research by actively taking part in this once-in-a-generation cancer research study.

The Society is looking for community members who are interested in enrolling in CPS-3, along with a host of “Community Champions,” who will spread the word about enrollment opportunities locally, and help recruit new volunteers to join the study. An American Cancer Society “Community Champion” is an individual who is willing to talk to friends, family, co-workers and the community about enrolling in the study. Community Champion volunteers will be trained and given materials for recruitment.

The American Cancer Society is committed to finishing the fight against cancer, but they can’t finish the fight alone – they need your help. Attend a CPS-3 kickoff and learn how you can help change the course of cancer. The American Cancer Society is hosting two Kickoff events to launch Solano County’s  CPS-3 enrollment.
