17-Year-Old Arrested on Suspicion of Shooting into Car on Dec. 5

The teen is suspected of shooting into a car with four occupants as it traveled between Suisun City and Fairfield.

A 17-year-old Fairfield boy has been arrested on charges that he shot into a car driving between Suisun City and Fairfield on Dec. 5.

Police think the shooting may be gang-related, and the four occupants of the car that was shot are not cooperating with authorities.

On December 5th between 3:00PM and 6:00PM a shooting occurred in the area of Sunset Av and the railroad tracks separating Fairfield from Suisun City. A sedan with four occupants was driving north into Fairfield when a subject shot at the vehicle from the sidewalk. The victims in the vehicle fled the area and contacted the police at a later time. The suspect was seen fleeing on foot from the scene into Suisun City. 

The four victims have been identified as two adults and two juvenile Fairfield residents. The victims are not cooperating with the police and have provided little information. Detectives are looking into the shooting as possibly being gang related. 

On December 6th, Gang detectives identified a suspect in the shooting as a 17 year old Fairfield resident. An arrest warrant for the subject was issued along with a search warrant for his residence. On December 14th at about 5:00PM, Gang detectives and Special Operations Team officers located the suspect in the 900 block of Daniel Street in Fairfield. The suspect was taken into custody without incident. The search warrant for his residence was executed and items of evidence were located inside.
