526 Vehicles Screened At Fairfield DUI Checkpoint

Three drivers cited for non-DUI related offenses

Three drivers were cited during a driving under the influence and driver's license checkpoint operated by Fairfield police Friday.

One driver was cited for driving without a license and another was  cited for driving on a suspended license at the checkpoint in the 1400 block of Travis Boulevard, according to police.

Another person was also cited and released for a criminal violation and one vehicle was impounded, police said.

From the 526 vehicles that were screened at the checkpoint, no one was found to be driving under the influence, police said.

The checkpoint was funded by the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration.
