Benicia Police Log: Two arrests in Separate Incidents and the Disappearing Barking Dog

This is the crime bulletin for Tuesday, November 13, 2012 from the Benicia Police Department. Click the "Keep me posted" button below for an alert when we publish this report.

1:14 a.m.: There was an open garage door on Rose Drive.  Officers spoke to the homeowner who secured the door.

1:55 a.m.: a 31-year-old Seal Beach man was arrested on Southampton Road.  A warrant for the man’s arrest had been issued by the California Department of Corrections for a parole violation.

2:42 a.m.: The disappearing barking dog made a brief appearance on Lansing.

3:32 a.m.: There was an open garage door of Ardmore.  After speaking to officers the homeowner secured the door.

5:08 a.m.: Employees at a West Channel Road business failed to turn off the burglar alarm in a timely fashion.

5:36 a.m.: Officers were unable to determine what activated an alarm at an Industrial Way business.

9:09 a.m.: Officers were unable to determine what activated an alarm at a residence on Brentwood.

9:18 a.m.: Officers were unable to determine what activated an alarm at a residence on Bantry.

11:02 a.m.: There was a family disturbance on Southampton Road.  The involved family members managed to settle their dispute.

5:43 p.m.: A juvenile was reported missing on Vista, but was quickly recovered by officers.

Later in the Evening: A 41-year-old Arizona man was arrested for drunk driving.

Editor’s Note:  Even though I inject a bit of humor into these police logs, please remember, the men and women whose job it is to protect us rarely find it funny when they are approaching a drunk person or a building where the alarm is going off.
