BREAKING: Seven Fires Reported in Solano County in Three-Hour Period
According to reports, there were five grass fives and two related to vehicle accidents.
A hot afternoon in Solano County has turned into quite the busy day for area fire departments.
After a gas leak forced the evacuations of residents in a Vacaville neighboorhood earlier today, three gas fires popped between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. on the I-80 corridor in Fairfield, according to the Fairfield Fire Department's Twitter account.
Fairfield Fire Chief Vince Webster said he had no information to believe all three calls were related to one another. He did say the hot and windy conditions amplify fire risk.
