A speeding Camaro slammed into a big rig on eastbound I-80 Sunday but the motorist escaped major injury, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The crash was reported at 7:35 p.m. on eastbound Interstate 80, at the Cordelia Truck Scales, according to the CHP Incident log.
Two lanes were shut down for a time, as crews worked to clear the wreck, the CHP reported.
Callers reported that the driver of the 2011 Chevrolet Camaro was speeding and passing other vehicles just before the crash.
Tow trucks were called for both vehicles.
Two right lanes were still closed at 8:09 p.m., the CHP reported.
