Chief To Talk Crime At Forum, Do You Have Questions?
Community forum on Wednesday will address crime and drugs in the community.
Suisun City released the official agenda for the Alcohol Tobacco and Other Drugs meeting Wednesday night, 7 p.m. - 8 p.m. at the , which will feature a 20-minute session where Police Chief Ed Dadisho will address recent shootings and take some questions.

Cathy Rader, ATOD Coordinator, said the Chief's Q&A session was a natural to become part of the ATOD regular meeting.

"It has to do with all the recent shootings…it ties into the ATOD because the shootings were drug related," she said.

The Parent Project: Patricia Magallon, Crime Prevention Specialist, Fairfield Police Department
The Parent Project program offers behavioral intervention that parents use at home. The Parent Project instructors are members of the Fairfield Police Department and will teach the participants one night a week for 10 weeks using step-by-step action plans that allow parents to take immediate steps that can strongly influence their child's negative choices. Parents will
gain tools and support to understand and communicate more effectively with their child, provide structure and active supervision, identify and intervene with drug/alcohol use, and improve school attendance. Parents will also learn how to identify if their child is involved in gang activity.
Adolescent, Drug, and Alcohol Prevention and Treatment (ADAPT)

ADAPT is a counseling program offering groups, individual sessions, family, work, and recreational activities. The focus of Program is to establish a drug and alcohol-free life style, to explore alternative coping skills, to promote self-esteem and self-awareness, and to educate about the harmful effects of drug and alcohol use and the recovery process
