Condition of 8-year-old Stabbing Victim From Fairfield Improves

The boy was initially listed in critical condition when he was admitted.

An 8-year-old boy who was stabbed during a domestic violence incident in Fairfield on Friday has been upgraded to stable condition at a hospital today, a police sergeant said.

Police arrested Lythia Lynette Bouie, 38, of Fairfield, on suspicion of domestic violence and child endangerment. She is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday afternoon in Solano Superior Court in Fairfield, a jail employee said.

A second victim, a man who suffered minor stab wounds to his upper body, was treated at a hospital and released, Fairfield police Sgt. Rob Lenke said.

Police responded at 5:36 p.m. Friday to a disturbance in the 1000 block of Scott Street, where they found the wounded boy and man.

The boy was initially listed in critical condition but is stable this morning, Lenke said.
