Fairfield Man Shot to Death on Oceanic Court

A Fairfield man was killed this morning along Oceanic Court.

Just after 3 a.m., residents called police to report a possible shooting. The residents told police that they heard possible gunshots and a vehicle leaving the court according to a Fairfield Police Department press statement.

Police arrived at the court and found a man, whose name was not available as of the time of this posting, in his driveway with gunshot wounds.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and transported the man to a local trauma center, where he later died from his injuries.

"Officers interviewed potential witnesses that stated they heard a loud argument," the Fairfield Police press statement read. "Moments later a number of possible gunshots were heard and a dark full size car was seen driving out of the court a high rate of speed."
