Fairfield: Pair Arrested On Suspicion Of Armed Robbery
The suspects, Deante Stewart, 23, of Fairfield, and Dwayna Gross, 21, of Sacramento, were arrested on suspicion of robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, conspiracy and possession of stolen property.
Fairfield police arrested two people in connection with an armed robbery that occurred Saturday evening.
Two men were walking through an apartment complex in the 1600 block of Park Lane in Fairfield around 7 p.m. Saturday when an armed man confronted them, Lt. Greg Hurlbut said.
The man demanded money, took both men's wallets and struck one of the victims on the head with a gun, Hurlbut said.

The victim who was hit did not require medical attention.
Officers responding to the armed robbery stopped the suspected gunman a block away at West Texas Street and Gregory Lane, and a female accomplice was found in a stairway at a nearby motel, Hurlbut said.

Officers recovered the gun used in the robbery on the motel property, Hurlbut said. The gun had been reported stolen in an unrelated crime in Alameda County.
The suspects, Deante Stewart, 23, of Fairfield, and Dwayna Gross, 21, of Sacramento, were arrested on suspicion of robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, conspiracy and possession of stolen property. Both were booked into Solano County Jail.
