Fairfield Police Arrest Suspect for Strong-Arm Robbery

Ladell Willis, 20, of Vallejo, was arrested.

Fairfield Police arrested a 20-year-old Vallejo resident after he allegedly grabbed at a female victim and tore off the necklace she was wearing. 

Around 2:30 p.m. May 3, a female pedestrian was reportedly approached by two subjects in the 4700 block of Business Center Drive in Cordelia. One of the suspects grabbed the victim and tore off a necklace she was wearing and both suspects fled west on Business Center Drive and got into a waiting vehicle.

Several concerned citizens in the area were able to provide police with a description of the suspects and the waiting vehicle, which led to an arrest. 

On May 3, detectives from the Fairfield Police Major Crimes Unit served a search warrant at a residence in Vallejo. The primary suspect was located at the residence and a handgun was recovered.

Ladell Willis was arrested for robbery, being a felon in possession of a firearm, and possessing an unregistered firearm, according to Fairfield Police.
