Fairfield Police Nab Shooting, Vehicle Theft Suspect

A 23-year-old San Francisco man was arrested for shooting a Fairfield resident.

Police captured a 23-year-old San Francisco man wanted in connection with a vehicle theft and injury shooting in Fairfield on Tuesday night.

At about 8:20 p.m. on Tuesday, officers received a report of a vehicle theft that had just occurred in the 1300 block of Crowley Lane near Pennsylvania Avenue.

Upon arrival at the scene officers heard numerous gunshots in the vicinity, police said. While police were responding to the scene, they received a report of a gunshot victim located in a nearby parking lot.

Officers located a 23-year-old Fairfield man suffering from gunshot wounds. Medical crews transported the victim to an area hospital, where he is listed in serious, but stable condition, according to police.

The shooting suspect was identified as Delwan Blazer, a 23-year-old San Francisco resident, police said. Blazer, also identified as the suspect in the vehicle theft, was located nearby the site of the shooting a short time later, officers said.
