Fairfield Police Track Felon to Vallejo, Arrest Him Without Incident

Police arrest Vallejo resident Broderick Ararao, 31, on suspicion of federal gun and drug charges.

The Fairfield Police Department arrested a man whom they consider a dangerous felon Wednesday.

Officers arrested Broderick Ararao, 31, of Vallejo, on suspicion of federal gun and drugs violations. Fairfield Police Narcotic Investigations Unit and Special Operations Team tracked Ararao to the City of Vallejo and arrested him with the assistance of the US Marshall Service, Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms and CDCR State Parole Fugitive Apprehension Team.

Police said Ararao recently led Fairfield Police on a pursuit after being recognized by Narcotic Investigations Detectives while driving in Fairfield.  Ararao attempted to discard two ounces of methamphetamine while evading officers, according to police.

The methamphetamine was recovered immediately after the pursuit was terminated and Ararao and escaped apprehension, but not for long.

On Wednesday, police tracked him to a home on the 100 block of Rainbow Court in Vallejo and arrested him without incident, according to police. During a search of the residence a stolen shotgun and an illegal firearm were recovered.
