Fairfield: Suspected Burglars Arrested
Three burglary suspects run, unsuccessfully, from a police K-9

A police K-9 unit on Monday helped track down three suspected burglars who allegedly ran from the scene of a failed burglary attempt in Fairfield, police said.
Officers went to a home in the 200 block of Columbus Drive after a
resident found two suspects trying to steal construction equipment out of a vehicle at about 11:05 p.m., according to Fairfield police.

The suspects fled the area by climbing over a chain link fence and
running into a creek bed, police said.
A police unit including a K-9 named "Kargo" searched the creek and
surrounding neighborhood and eventually tracked down the suspects in the 2400 block of Auto Mall Parkway, police said.

The suspects were identified as Charles Stafford, 30, of Woodland,
Duane Hyde, 45, of Fairfield, and a 15-year-old boy from Vallejo.
The juvenile was arrested for grand theft and booked into Solano
County Juvenile Hall.
Stafford was arrested for an outstanding parole warrant and Hyde
was arrested for possession of burglary tools.
Both men were booked into Solano County Jail.
