Fairfield Teen Arrested On Suspicion Of Carrying A Concealed Firearm

Fairfield police arrested a 17-year-old boy suspected of possessing a concealed firearm, as well as two men and three juveniles, following a disturbance complaint Saturday morning.

Officers responded to a caller's complaints at around 9:30 a.m. regarding an apartment in the 1100 block of Alaska Avenue, where the  residents had allegedly been having a party all night long, police said. At the time of the call, the partiers were allegedly tossing a gun around on the patio, which had a short fence and was visible to neighbors.

When police arrived, the suspects were inside and were reportedly uncooperative while officers attempted to contact them for about 20 minutes, according to police.
Several suspects exited the apartment once police backed away and the officers approached them. They discovered that one of the suspects was allegedly in possession of a loaded gun, which was concealed in the waistband of his pants.

Several more suspects exited the apartment and were detained. Police cleared the apartment and discovered two suspects hiding, including a parolee, police said.

The Fairfield Police Department's gang unit was called in to assist the officers at the scene after police determined that several of the suspects were affiliated with a local street gang.

Police arrested a 17-year-old Fairfield boy on suspicion of possessing a concealed firearm and three other juveniles on a variety of  charges.

Officers also arrested Juan Godinez, 20, for parole violation and Jose Jiminez, 28, on suspicion of resisting, obstructing, and evading a peace officer, police said.
