Fatal Crash In Suisun City Kills Local Man

A Suisun City man died when he crashed his SUV near westbound state Highway 12 and Main Street on Monday afternoon, a police sergeant said.
Lawrence Smith, 41, was partially ejected from his 1999 Chevrolet Suburban in the rollover crash and was pronounced dead at the scene, Suisun City police Sgt. Andrew White said.

Police were informed of the crash around 4:30 p.m. and found the SUV at the bottom of an embankment along Highway 12 west of the Main Street on-ramp, White said.
It appears Smith's vehicle spun out of control and went over the embankment as he was merging onto westbound Highway 12 from Main Street, White said. A police press release also said it appeared that Smith wasn't wearing a seatbelt.
