Fire crews are at the scene of a one-alarm brush fire that is blocking eastbound interstate Highway 80 at the southbound interstate Highway 680 connector in Fairfield, authorities said.
The fire was reported around 2:20 p.m. on the side of eastbound Highway 80 at Green Valley Road, according to the CHP.
The CHP is reporting that the roadway near the Highway 680 connector is blocked due to the fire.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
