Five Arrested During Check of Realignment Offenders

Arrested were Jean Fuquay, 25; Michael Crawford, 48; Shawn Viramontes, 31; Channel Tyson, 26; and Patricia Rodriguez, 56.

Five people were arrested in Fairfield and Suisun City Tuesday during a check of Realignment prisoners who had been released into the community.

In all, 19 "post-release community supervision" offenders were visited by Solano County and Fairfield authorities, according to a press release.

1) Jean Fuquay, 25 years old, was arrested in the 900 block of Harlequin Way, Suisun for violating the terms of his probation. He was in possession of a switch blade and a folding knife that was over two inches in length. He also tested positive for the recent use of marijuana. 

2) Michael Crawford, 48 years old, was arrested in the 1900 block of Grande circle, Fairfield for violating the terms of his probation. He was in possession of a device used to smoke methamphetamine.

3) Shawn Viramontes, 31 years old, was arrested in the 1500 block of Eisenhower, Fairfield for violating the terms of his probation. He was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and a smoking device.

The following subjects were not probation but were arrested during the compliance checks in connection with two people on [Post-Release Community Supervision].

1) Channel Tyson, 26 years old, was arrested in the 1900 block of Grande Circle, Fairfield. She was arrested for being in possession of a controlled substance and for sales of a controlled substance. Her bail is set at $15,000 and her court date is April 25, 2013 at 1:30pm.

2) Patricia Rodriguez, 56 years old, was arrested in the 1500 block of Eisenhower, Fairfield. She was arrested for several drug offenses including being in possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance for sale, and possession of firearm while committing a drug offense. Her bail is set at $70,000 and her court date is set for April 25, 2013 at 1:30 pm.

The subjects had been released into the community because of AB 109, the law that created the Realignment program that releases certain non-violent, non-sexual and non-serious state prisoners into the supervision of the county where they were convicted, according to the press release.
