Former Teacher Gets 30 Days For Sex With Student

Felicia Killings was sentenced Tuesday for sex with a minor.

A former high school English teacher has been sentenced to 30 days in the Solano County jail for having unlawful sex with a student in 2010.

Felicia Killings, 28, pleaded no contest to one of six felony charges of unlawful sex with a minor under age 18 and was sentenced Tuesday, Solano County Deputy District Attorney Andrew Ganz said. The remaining five felony counts were dismissed.

Killings taught at Rodriguez High School in Fairfield. The sexual intercourse with the boy occurred at Killing's Vallejo home between March 1, 2010 and Oct. 21, 2010, Ganz said.

She was placed on paid administrative leave after she was arrested by Vallejo police on Nov. 9, 2010. Police said the affair began in December 2009.

Ganz said Killings could have been sentenced to three years in prison on the lone felony count. He said the plea agreement was a reasonable resolution of the case.
