Inmates Who Escaped From Suisun-Area Facility Still At Large

The search has expanded to Los Angeles County.

Two minimum-security inmates who escaped from the Delta Conservation Camp just outside of Suisun City on Tuesday morning are still at large, a California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation spokeswoman said today.

The search for the inmates has extended to Los Angeles County, where the inmates lived prior to their incarceration, CDCR spokeswoman Margaret Pieper said this morning.

Authorities are following leads but there have been no confirmed sightings of the inmates, who were last seen in their housing unit at 4:30 a.m. Tuesday, Pieper said.

He was convicted of making terrorist threats, inflicting corporal injury on a spouse, and stalking. He is 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighs 160 pounds, and has brown eyes, black hair and a medium complexion.

Hernandez was committed to the CDCR on July 21, 2005, for carjacking, and was scheduled to be paroled in June 2016. He is 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs 125 pounds with brown eyes, black hair and a medium complexion.

Both men were wearing blaze orange-colored jeans and shirts with the initials "CDCR" on the back.

The men do not pose a serious threat to the public, and their route of travel is unknown, Pieper said Tuesday.

The 124 inmates at the camp help Cal Fire respond to fires in Sonoma, Lake, Napa and Solano counties and assist with vegetation and facilities cleanup operations.

Anyone with information about the escapees is asked to call the California Corrections Center watch commander at (530) 257-2181 ext. 4173.
