Police, firefighters and the California Highway Patrol searched an area along the Fairfield-Suisun City border on Monday night after receiving a report that someone might have been hit by a train.

A train conductor told police he saw some people involved in a disturbance near the tracks in the area of Railroad and Sunset avenues, Suisun City police Cmdr. Tim Mattos said.

Police asked the CHP's Golden Gate Division at about 8:15 p.m. to send Helicopter 30 from the Napa County Airport to fly over unlit fields in  the area, CHP officials said.

The helicopter crew found a "hot spot" in the bushes that appeared  to be a body, the CHP said. A Suisun City police officer then located a woman there who was  "extremely intoxicated" but had not been struck by a train, Mattos said.

The woman and a male companion might have had an argument near the tracks, Mattos said. The man, who also was intoxicated, was located some distance away.

The woman was taken to a hospital for a medical clearance. She was then cited by the Union Pacific Railroad police for trespassing on the tracks and taken to Solano County Jail, Mattos said. Investigators determined no one had been hit by a train, he said.
