LETTER: Memorial Planned For Man Who Died At Post Office

The memorial will take place at the post office.

Dear Editor,

There was a Suisun City resident, Bernardo Ararao, who was shot and whose life was taken at the Suisun City Post Office on 6-29-11.

The community has planned a memorial on the 1-year anniversary of his death at 6:00pm, 6-29-12 at the Post Office.

This memorial is not to make a “stand” on how he died, there has been enough energy spent on that, but the memorial is more for how he lived.

Bernardo loved his country; he spent 12 years in the Navy, he loved people and had many friends, he was always polite and kind, he had a great sense of humor, he loved his dog Whitey, and as one of his good friends put it -- had a beautiful Bernardo smile.

So yes, we would like to give some value to this man by giving him some absolute gentle peace.

Perhaps his beautiful Bernardo smile will be smiling on us again.

Please come join us for some prayer and song.
