Man Injured In Montezuma Slough Jet Ski Accident Flown To Hospital

A CHP helicopter landed and emergency responders gave first aid to the man in the Montezuma Slough

A California Highway Patrol helicopter rescued an injured jet ski rider from the Montezuma Slough north of Grizzly Bay on Saturday, according to CHP officials.

The helicopter was requested by the Solano County Fire Department at around 3 p.m. It responded to the scene and quickly located a 40-year-old man floating along the water's edge.

The helicopter landed and gave the injured man emergency first aid.

CHP officers were joined at the scene by officials from the U.S. Coast Guard, the Solano County Fire Department and the Solano County Sheriff's Department who arrived by boat.

The CHP helicopter transported the injured man to John Muir Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, including a possibly broken leg.
