Man, Woman Arrested For Allegedly Doing a Drive-By Shooting

A duo was arrested on suspicion of a drive-by shooting last night in Fairfield. No injuries were reported.

The Fairfield Police Department arrested two people on suspicion of doing a drive-by shooting Tuesday evening. 

Police arrested Akeli Blake, 21, and Angelica Lopez, 22, both of Fairfield, after several callers reported a drive-by shooting at 6:30 p.m., in the area of Villa Court and E. Tabor Avenue.

Witnesses provided very detailed descriptions of the suspect and suspect’s vehicle. Police found the vehicle driving around the area and did a high-risk stop.

They arrested Blake and Lopez without incident, and located the weapon used in the alleged drive-by shooting inside the vehicle they drove. 

Akeli Blake was booked into jail on suspicion of the shooting and a probation violation.  Angelica Lopez was booked into jail on suspicion of aiding and abetting a felon.
