Men Killed In I-80 Crash ID'd

The Solano County Coroner's Office identified two men killed in a collision Sunday.

The Solano County coroner's office has identified the two Sacramento men who were killed in an accident on Interstate 80 in Fairfield early Sunday morning.

They are Anthony Andrade, 33, the driver of a 1997 Ford Explorer, and Vincente Santos, 25, a passenger in the Explorer. Both men died at the scene.

Michelle Henry, 42, the driver of a 2008 Buick Lucerne, suffered minor injuries in the 5:20 a.m. crash and was arrested on suspicion of felony DUI and possession of a loaded firearm in a vehicle, California Highway Patrol Officer Chris Parker said.

Henry was speeding west on I-80 near Air Base Parkway when she struck the rear of the Ford Explorer, causing both vehicles to overturn, Parker said.

The Buick landed in some bushes on the right shoulder, and the Explorer rolled across two lanes of traffic, struck the center divider and landed on its roof in the No. 2 lane, Parker said.

As Andrade exited the Explorer to help Santos get out of the overturned vehicle, a 2005 Toyota Corolla driven by Michael Soto, 35, of Sacramento, struck the rear of the Explorer and also hit Andrade, who was standing outside it, Parker said.

Andrade was thrown into westbound traffic lanes and died, according to the CHP. A second passenger in the Explorer, Floyd J. Williams Jr. 33, of Sacramento, suffered minor injuries, as did Soto.

Westbound I-80 was closed for about three hours after the accident, Parker said.

The CHP referred its investigation to the Solano County District Attorney's Office for filing of charges against Henry, Parker said.
