The 25-member task force is currently on its way to a location in Solano County where they believe that at one point Almanza was being held against her will.

Alamanza went missing sometime Wednesday. She was last seen Wednesday night, when she left her Suisun home shortly after 5 p.m., to attend night school in Fairfield, officials said.

When Alamanza failed to return to her home, and left an alarming voicemail message on a family member’s phone, her family notified the Solano Sheriff’s Department, Thursday at 12:40 p.m.

“As far as we know this is the first incident of this type, where she has not returned,” Suisun City Police Cmdr. Tim Mattos said. “It is something that is causing us to believe there could be foul play.”

At 7:15 p.m., Wednesday, the Sheriff’s Department turned the investigation over to the Suisun City Police Department. During the investigation, police have apparently received text messages from Alamanza.

“At one point, there was a field and then there was a basement,” Mattos said, describing the content of the messages during a press conference held at noon at the police department.

Mattos said that Almanza may be being held along with other females, it’s not clear if the other females know what is going on he said.

“We are not really holding back a lot (of information),” Mattos said. “We are chasing a lot of loose ends, a lot of dead ends.”

Almanza was last seen in a navy blue Oldsmobile Silhouette with a California license plate No. 4EBS066. An Amber Alert has been issued for the vehicle.

She is described as a Hispanic girl who is about 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighs 130 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information about this case is asked to contact the Suisun City Police Department at (707) 421-7373.
