Murder-Suicide In Fairfield Thursday Evening

Man and woman shot on Tulip Street

A shooting Thursday evening at a Fairfield home appears to be a
murder-suicide when a man fatally shot his wife and then killed himself, police said.

Police received calls of a shooting at a home in the 300 block of
Tulip St. around 6:38 p.m. Officers arrived and found a 39-year-old woman and 38-year-old man with gunshot wounds to the torso inside the home's garage.

Medical personnel pronounced the two dead at the scene, police said.
Police determined that the man shot his wife of eight years during
an argument and then turned the gun on himself. Two witnesses were inside the home during the shooting, but were not injured.
